DFE Has New Sizes for Tension Roll, Narrow Web Transducers

ROCHESTER, NH | Dover Flexo Electronics (DFE) now offers three diameter choices (2.25, 3.0, and 3.5 in.) on tension roll and narrow web transducers to work in a broader range of converting and printing applications. 
The tension roll transducer is a tension-sensing idler roll that installs onto a dual-sided machine, while the cantilever-mounted narrow web transducer mounts on a single-frame machine. Each measurement device combines an idler roll and two tension sensors into a single, integrated unit for what is said to be easy installation and accurate tension signal output.
Load ratings for these transducer rolls start at 12 lbs and go up. When combined with company’s amplifier, indicator, or controller, customers experience an effective tension operating range of 50:1. Units are constructed from aluminum and stainless steel with a choice of roll finish. Each transducer type is available in a range of widths to accommodate webs from 6 in. (152 mm) and up. Several mounting options are also available.
