Foster Lifter Is Designed for AGFA Printers

MONTGOMERY, PA | | Foster has announced the immediate availability of the On-a-Roll Lifter Universal, the latest in the company's line of material handling equipment. The new unit was designed specifically for AGFA Anapurna, Mira, Tauro, and Titan printers, as well as many roll-to-roll flatbed cutters such as those from Zund and Esko Kongsberg. 

Company says the device allows printer operators to maneuver rolls as heavy as 660 lbs (300 kg) and as wide as 16 ft, 5 in. (5 m) quickly and safely. On AGFA machines, the tray is said to fit easily into the roll loading area, and multiple roll wedge settings enable the operator to position the roll precisely for loading and unloading.

Foster CEO Ted Borowsky says, "The loading areas of many roll-to-roll printers are very limited, and roll lifters must be individually configured to accommodate the different designs in the marketplace. The Foster On-a-Roll Lifter Universal can be quickly reconfigured by the operator, corresponding to the exact internal geometry of many individual printers. This is particularly useful in shops using multiple brands and models of printers. Our new [unit] improves workplace safety and convenience."
