Monadnock Paper Mills, Inc., the oldest continuously operating paper mill in the United States, is pleased to announce Daniel J. Burke as the new Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Dan will be assuming the role following the upcoming retirement of Andrew Manns in the new year.

“We are truly grateful for Andrew’s contributions over the years and wish him well as he transitions into his retirement,” says Richard Verney, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Monadnock Paper Mills. “We are confident Mr. Burke’s experience and strategic vision will contribute significantly to Monadnock’s continued success and growth, and we are excited to welcome him to the team.”

Dan is a CPA and brings over 22 years of financial management experience in the manufacturing and distribution industries. Most recently, he served as the Corporate Controller at Velcro Companies, where he effectively managed an international team of 60 accountants across the globe. Before his tenure at Velcro, he held the position of Vice President of Finance at Iredale Cosmetics.

Leveraging his background in information technology and a demonstrated success in implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Dan will immerse himself in Monadnock's papermaking operations, business strategies, IT infrastructure, and financial systems over the next few months to ensure a seamless transition into his new role and drive the ongoing adoption of technology to support operating efficiencies.

“I look forward to stepping into the role of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Monadnock,” says Dan. “I am excited about the opportunity to lead in this capacity and contribute to the company’s longstanding commitment to sustainability, ensuring that we continue to make environmentally responsible choices in all aspects of our operations.”
