Two Honored for Green Efforts

RONKONKOMA, NY | The Flexographic Technical Assn. recognized two members in its tenth Annual Environmental Excellence Award competition. Specialty Printing, East Windsor, CT, took top honors with its process improvement initiatives, and Robbie Fantastic Flexibles, Lenexa, KS, earned an honorable mention.

Specialty Printing implemented a recycling, conservation, and cost-savings project that boasts a significant positive impact on the environment. Using the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership criteria as the framework, Robbie Fantastic Flexibles implemented a continuous improvement project resulting in 15% landfill reduction by December 2009 and a goal of another 15% by December 2010.
