• Fred M. Singer (83), marketing manager at Mica Corp. from 1982 until his retirement in 2006, has passed away. He was the recipient of the 1995 TAPPI Polymers, Laminations and Coatings Div. technical award for outstanding contributions to the industry's technology.

• Marcel Hage has resigned as president/COO of Maxcess Intl., Oklahoma City, OK. He shared that after nine years with the company, he leaves it in a strong position in the marketplace, and he plans to attend to some personal matters that have been awaiting his attention.

• Elsner Engineering Works, Hanover, PA, promotes Larry D. Fischer to sales manager for the Americas.

• Laminations, Appleton, WI, part of Great Northern Corp.'s Specialty Group, reports Terry Rupell becomes plant manager at the East Plant in Allentown, PA, replacing the retiring Dave Unangst. Mike Mason is promoted to general foreman.

• At Lamart Corp., Clifton, NJ, Jonathan Hirsh is promoted to VP of business development, and Akash Abraham joins as manager, application development.

• Rotoflex, St. Louis, MO, adds Oliver Alan Jentschke to the European sales and marketing team.
