  • Elsner Engineering Works, Hanover, PA, is named the exclusive sales representative for Wipcor S.r.l., Novara, Italy, for North American and Mexican sales. Elsner also will market the Wipcor line worldwide.

  • Evonik Goldschmidt Corp., Hopewell, VA, reports its Industrial Specialties and Household Care business lines will increase off-list prices for products marketed in North America. Silicones and organic products, including quaternary compounds, surfactants, amine derivatives, and specialty additives, will increase between $0.05/lb and $0.15/lb. Select products will see higher increases.

  • The Packaging and Building Materials business of Rohm and Haas Co., Philadelphia, PA, reports a list and off-list price increase for acrylic, vinyl acrylic, and styrene acrylic-based emulsions and solution acrylic polymers sold to the North American PSA, textile, nonwoven, and construction adhesives industries.

  • The Montalvo Corp., Gorham, ME, opens a branch in Shanghai, China, designated Montalvo (Shanghai) Trading Co. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Montalvo Holdings.

  • International Paper, Memphis, TN, is named the No. 1 company for the Forest and Paper Products sector by FORTUNE magazine in its annual report of “America's Most Admired Companies.”

  • The InterFlex Group, Wilkesboro, NC, a flexible packaging company with facilities in the US, Scotland, and Brazil, acquires EBR Ltd., Sunderland, England, a flexible packaging converter with strong market positions in the UK bakery and snack food sectors.

  • Prism Group Holdings, Auckland, New Zealand, signs a distribution agreement with LithoTechnics Pty., Buckeye AZ, and Wollongong, Australia, in which Prism will sell and support the Metrix line of workflow integration and automation software worldwide on Mac OS X and Windows platforms.

  • Great Northern Corp., Appleton, WI, acquires the assets of Creative Carton, Minneapolis, MN. Terms were not disclosed.
