Flexography Awards Competition Calls for Entries

RONKONKMA, NY—The Flexography Technical Assn.'s (FTA) 2007 Excellence in Flexography Awards will showcase this year's best of the best in flexographic printing. The competition recognizes outstanding technical achievement, as well as the use of techniques, processes, controls, materials, tooling, or equipment that is outside the norm and contributes to the advancement of the industry.

The competition is open to all flexographic printers, print buyers, and qualified graphic arts schools regardless of membership status. Supplier companies may submit entries on behalf of a printer or designer with their permission. Designers may submit entries directly. All entries must have the customer's (print buyer) approval for entry. All entries must have been flexographically printed in their entirety. Entries must have been produced for a production run of an actual market product. Products from tests, sample runs, and mock-ups are not eligible to compete. All entries must have been produced between January 1 and December 31, 2006.

Entry classifications include wide web, mid web, narrow web, folding cartons, napkins, combined corrugated, preprinted linerboard, envelope, newspapers/publications, self-promotion, and student.
