MOUNT HOLLY, NJ | Global Specialty Products USA offers OPTIMA | 2000FG Aqueous Cleaner, which is an NSF Nonfood Compounds Certified Aqueous Ink & Adhesive Remover, Resin Cleaner, Metal Degreaser, and Multipurpose Cleaner for use in printing, food and beverage packaging, and processing and handling facilities. Said to be environmentally sensible, have reduced VOCs, and to be non-HAP, non-flammable, and non-hazardous.

The NSF Food Compounds Registration Program is a continuation of the USDA product approval and listing program, which is based on meeting regulatory requirements including the FDA 21 CFR for appropriate use, ingredient, and labeling review.

Company says product is acceptable for use in and around food processing areas, where its use is not intended for direct food contact. It is designed to remove all types of polymeric, water-based, latex polymers, coatings, and varnishes, as well as UV-based inks and adhesives from all types of printing equipment including rubber, plastic, stainless steel surfaces, and all press equipment (anilox, ceramic and rubber rollers, photopolymer plates, and more).

The cleaner is said to be highly effective when used in immersion with or without ultrasonic cavitation, spray under immersion, high-pressure cabinet washers, or in-line automated cleaning systems and steam or mechanical cleaning devices.
