Green Bay Packaging Adds Containerboard Machine

GREEN BAY, WI | Green Bay Packaging (GBP) has announced that it is in the first phase of evaluating construction of a new, state-of-the-art recycled containerboard machine at its location in Green Bay.
The 220-in. machine will be operational in 2020 and will replace the company’s existing 164-in. trim machine, originally constructed in 1950. The investment is expected to would increase GBP’s recycled containerboard capacity by more than 70%.
Started in 1933, Green Bay Packaging is a family-owned, vertically integrated company consisting of corrugated container plants, folding cartons, recycled and virgin linerboard mills, pressure-sensitive label rollstock, specialty converting operations, timberlands, and a sawmill facility.
