NEWARK, NJ | Allied Plastics Holdings, a Sigma Plastics Group company, has launched nine-layered, flat die extruded EcoTag I and II specialty film brand.
EcoTag synthetic paper is FDA compliant and is said to have a proprietary and superior skin surface that will hold three-point, four-color, water-based flexographic type in demanding end-user environments. Also said to be an economically priced and environmentally conscious film substrate and is compatible with most types of printing processes (with the exception of laser) presently being used by printers within the NAFTA region.
Company says product is a lower cost, high quality alternative to many of the present day synthetic paper substrates being used by both UV offset and narrow web printers. Reportedly is highly versatile, has excellent layflat and cold temperature resistance, and is compatible with water-based, UV, and thermal transfer print most commonly used in nursery, lumber, and brick tag converting applications. Multi-faceted sheet can be used in numerous indoor and outdoor synthetic paper printing/converting applications.
