HAUPPAUGE, NY | Nordmeccanica has officially announced the program of the June 2, 2015, event that will celebrate the opening of its new location in Long Island, NY. The completely new Northern American home base for Nordmeccanica will be twice the size of the previous one and reportedly will allow for improved services to customers with a larger inventory of spares and a larger number of service engineers and technologists.
Company says the ribbon cutting ceremony will be followed by a technical conference with live demonstrations of lamination and web handling that will involve conversion of the most challenging flexible substrates used in the industry. The event will be the opportunity to present to American converters the new range of products that includes a state-of-the-art line of vacuum metallizers for paper and films.
Lamination sessions during the event will include lamination of up to three layers of LDPE, PET, and metallized webs (both PET-Alox and PET pattern coated). Said to be a first in the industry, in cooperation with Hydro, will be the demonstration of solventless lamination of aluminum foil at a thickness of 5 microns (0.0002 in.).
A Grand Opening Ceremony will feature welcome addresses from Antonio Cerciello, president Nordmeccanica Group, and Vincenzo Cerciello, president Nordmeccanica NA Ltd.
