AWA Release Liner Event Coming Soon

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS | The annual Global Release Liner Conference & Exhibition, sponsored by AWA Alexander Watson Assoc., takes place at the Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport Hotel March 20–21, 2014.

Michael Apperson, CEO of release liner manufacturer Loparex Group, will keynote the conference. This will be followed by an executive leadership panel discussion between Apperson and Dr. Bernhard Klofat, CEO of specialty paper manufacturers Felix Schoeller Group, moderated by Corey Reardon, AWA president and CEO.

Reardon will then present AWA’s overview of the current release liner market in terms of growth, developments, and trends, and Jackie Marolda, AWA VP and senior consultant, will present the results of the company’s annual release liner industry survey, conducted with industry players around the world.

Also on the agenda:

• Mergers and acquisitions covered by Thomas Blaige, chairman and CEO of Blaige & Company, investment bankers specializing in the plastics, packaging, and chemical industries

• A “label maker’s perspective” from Alan Hazlewood of the Skanem Group

• “The complexity of being green” presented by Calvin Frost, CEO of Channeled Resources Group

• The EU Waste Review and how it affects packaging and packaging waste, covered by Virginia Janssens, managing director of EUROPEN.

Attendees will find a complementary exhibition, extensive networking opportunities, and, on the day prior to the conference, the opportunity to attend one of two specialist seminars, on linerless label technology or silicone technology.
