Maxson Sheeter Designed for Low-Volume Work

WESTERLY, RI | Maxson Automatic Machinery Co. offers MSE sheeter. for converters of specialty papers and products that require low volume output and quick size changes. Company says the sheeter is capable of operating at speeds to 300 fpm (90 mpm), the sheeter is specifically designed for ease of setup for single operator and delivery of press-ready skids of material.
Sheeter will convert rolls to 64 in. wide (1,525 mm) and can produce cutoffs from 15–50 in. (381–1,270 mm) long. The machine’s compact footprint reportedly makes it ideal for short-order and low-volume work on all types of material to 0.020 in. (0.5 mm) thick.
Outfitted with a dual-motor drive system, sheet length accuracy of ±0.015 in. (±0.381 mm) and squareness of ±0.020 in. (±0.508 mm) is maintained regardless of cutoff or line speed, company says. Size changes are made via keypad entry. Sheeter can be outfitted with an optional automatic squaring system to further ease setup.
