Deadlock Haze Guide: Build, Abilities & How to Carry (2026)
Last updated: June 3, 2026
Haze is the closest thing Deadlock has to a textbook hyper-carry: a stealthy gun assassin who farms quietly, then deletes an entire team with her ultimate if you let her scale. She's the most-picked hero in the game for a reason, and learning her teaches you how carries win. If you're picking up deadlock and want to hold M1 and watch health bars vanish, she's your hero.
Deadlock.ioQuick answer: Haze is a Weapon-damage carry: stack fire-rate items to ramp Fixation on a single target, then Smoke in and unleash Bullet Dance after the enemy burns their CC. Max Fixation first.

Her abilities
| Ability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Throws a dagger that damages and sleeps a target (they wake on damage). Your pickoff/setup. | |
| Go invisible and gain sprint speed. Attacking breaks it, but using items doesn't. Flank escape. | |
| Shooting a target stacks bonus bullet damage on it (2 stacks per headshot). Your entire carry payoff. | |
| A channeled, perfect-accuracy bullet storm at nearby enemies — can wipe a clustered team. |
Build & leveling
- Early:
Extra Spirit,
Rapid Rounds,
Active Reload - Core:
Fury Trance (her best item),
Swift Striker,
Slowing Hex,
Crippling Headshot - Late:
Headhunter,
Ricochet,
Leech
Ability order: max Fixation first (it's the whole carry), Sleep Dagger second, one early point in Smoke Bomb, ult whenever available. Prioritize fire rate so Fixation ramps fast.
How to carry with her
- Keep your crosshair on ONE target to ramp Fixation — don't spray across the team.
- Hold Bullet Dance until the enemy burns their stuns, then Smoke in behind them and unleash up close. Ulting into fresh CC is the classic Haze death.
- Position like a glass cannon — let the frontline engage first.
Haze sits around A/S-tier and ~52% win-rate as of June 2026 — a meta pillar, but items get tuned often, so re-check her build before relying on it.
