Dow to Increase Prices of Emulsion Polymer Products in Paper for North America

MIDLAND, MI, USA—Dow Chemical Company reports, effective July 1, 2004, its Emulsion Polymers business is increasing the prices of Styrene/Butadiene (S/B), Latex, Styrene Acrylate (S/A) Latex, and Solid Plastic Pigment products sold into the paper industry by $0.05 (US) per pound (dry) in the United States and Canada.

According to Dow, it will honor its notice provisions regarding pricing per contractual terms and conditions contained in existing contracts.

Dow adds the price increases are being driven by increased raw material costs.
