Exhibitor Registration Open for India Shows

CHICAGO, IL | On-line exhibitor registration for the interpack alliance trade fairs pacprocess India, food pex India, and indiapack 2018 is now open at this link. Organized by Messe Düsseldorf, Messe Düsseldorf India, and the Indian Institute of Packaging, the events will be held at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) in Mumbai October 24–26, 2018, concurrently with drink technology India, organized by Messe München. Traditionally held in Mumbai, the trade fair quartet had its debut last year in New Delhi and now alternates annually between New Delhi and Mumbai.

The four trade fairs cover the entire range of food, beverage, baked goods, confectioner, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics as well as non-food and industrial goods. At the 2017 staging in New Delhi, 212 exhibitors occupied approximately 119,000 sq ft of exhibition space and attracted about 10,000 visitors. Organizers says they expect higher numbers for the 2018 staging at the main venue of the trade fairs in Mumbai (2016: 300 exhibitors and more than 12,000 visitors).

Germany and Italy will have a strong presence at the trade fairs, and the four events are also attracting companies from the Far East.

According to Messe Düsseldorf, the packaging sector is one of the fastest growing in India. This process is driven by dynamic economic growth, rapidly growing middle classes, rising levels of income, and a steady increase in urbanization—elements that are causing changes in consumer patterns as well as a growing demand for packaged food, beverage, and commodities.
