PRINT Attendance Down, Quality Up

RESTON, VA | Graphic Arts Show Co. reports a total of 28,678 exhibitors and attendees from 94 countries came to Chicago, IL, for the PRINT 09 show, held September 11-16 at McCormick Place. There were 680 exhibitors, of which 126 were first-timers, across 566,284 sq ft of exhibit space.

Although attendance was lower than the 2005 show, GASC reports 18,999 “actual verified attendee/buyers” (defined as registered on-site show goers, counted only once), which is in line with GASC's commitment to reporting the most accurate attendance numbers. The data reveals high-level attendees from 10,512 unique buyer companies.

“The quality of attendees was outstanding,” says Richard Trapilo, executive VP of C.P. Bourg Inc. Adds Ron Pueschel of bielomatik jagenberg, “PRINT and Graph Expo come the closest of all the North American shows to addressing all the market segments we serve.”
