Kimberly-Clark USA, Neenah, WI, wins the 2009 Best of the Show Diamond Pentaward for its triangular Kleenex “Slice of Summer” boxes decorated with watermelon, orange, or lemon illustrations that look good enough to eat. This entry was a unanimous choice for the top prize among the international jury of 12 members and one chairman. Said one jurist, “A professional designer appreciates something that is attractive, surprising, new, simple, and devoid of useless information. The Kleenex ‘Slice of Summer’ boasts all of this at once. This packaging shows great maturity, because the consumer is not bombarded with information that he neither really needs nor wants.”
