Basics of In-Mold Labeling

A seminar on the ABCs of In-Mold Labeling (IML) is slated for March 27, 2008, at the DoubleTree Hotel & Conference Ctr. in Skokie (Chicago), IL. Organized by RBS Technologies, the course will offer attendees a basic understanding of the technology. While ideal for those considering entry into the IML market and who require introductory information, the seminar also serves as a refresher course for more experienced current participants in the field.

Updated yearly, the seminar provides basic IML groundwork as well as the fundamentals of extrusion blow molding, injection IML, the in-mold process, production of in-mold labels, current markets, functions across the IML value chain, and future growth opportunities. As a new addition to the seminar this year, in-mold decoration (IMD) of durable products will expand beyond the traditional packaging content.
