Natural Beauties

New York-based packaging designer Anthem Worldwide has developed sustainable packaging for Revlon's new Almay Pure Blends natural makeup line. Revlon wanted to package the line in environmentally responsible recycled plastic tubes and paperboard compacts in place of conventional category components. Anthem's design works with the specified substrates, while transparent materials and die-cut windows are used to show off the makeup's luminous colors. The line is projected to conserve an estimated 128 tons of paperboard, 895,000 gallons of water, and 4 metric tons of greenhouse gas per 1 million pieces manufactured.
