The 2003 TAPPI Corrugated Packaging Conference and CorrExpo comes to the Hyatt Regency in Dallas, TX, October 12-15. Formerly known as the Corrugated Containers Conference and CorrExpo, this year's event is expected to draw more than 600 attendees and more than 100 exhibiting suppliers ready to showcase the latest, most innovative products and services.

The Corrugated Packaging Div. of TAPPI, organizers of the event, says the new name more accurately reflects the association's membership and activities. Dedicated to being “converter-driven,” the division has adopted a long-term goal to be “the premier knowledge source for the corrugated packaging industry.”

Practical Tracks
The conference program — Practical Solutions for Profit Improvement — will cover a variety of topics designed to appeal to converter plant management; first-line supervisors; shipping operations; IT operations; maintenance operations; and industry suppliers and customers.

The program features three practical tracks: Workplace and Safety Trends; Manufacturing and Operating Efficiencies; and Quality Improvement Trends.

A fourth track, the new Masters Forum, will feature cutting-edge, world-class sessions that focus on management issues.

Attendees can choose to attend all the sessions in one track or move around between tracks to attend the sessions that best meet their needs. Session topics include:

Industry Innovations
The CorrExpo exhibition, held in conjunction with the three-day conference, offers industry suppliers an arena in which to exhibit the latest products and services, along with an opportunity to network with established and potential clients.

Also on display will be winners of the CorrPak 2003 Competition, which recognizes the finest commercially produced corrugated packaging products manufactured between Sept. 1, 2002, and Aug. 15, 2003.

CorrExpo hours will be Monday, October 13, 1:00-5:00 p.m., and Tuesday, October 14, 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
