Menasha Acquires PearceWellwood

NEENAH, WI | Menasha Corporation has acquired PearceWellwood, Brampton, ON, Canada. The family-owned business will operate as part of Menasha Packaging Company, a subsidiary of Menasha Corporation; terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

PearceWellwood designs and manufactures corrugated displays for the retail industry and offers fulfillment and distribution services. In a related transaction, Menasha also acquired an ownership interest in Tencorr Packaging from PearceWellwood’s parent company, Pearce Group. Tencorr is a corrugated sheet manufacturer with plants in Brampton, ON, Canada, and Mississauga, ON, Canada. Reportedly, the Tencorr investment will ensure that the PearceWellwood business will continue to benefit from a reliable, high quality corrugated supply.

“The acquisition of PearceWellwood provides Menasha Packaging Company a foothold in Canada to better serve new and existing major consumer packaged goods customers located in the region with expertise in display design, manufacturing and fulfillment,” says Jim Kotek, president and CEO of Menasha Corporation.

“Acquiring PearceWellwood allows Menasha Packaging to not only expand geographically in Canada with an established facility and manufacturing operation, but to do so with a reputable company that operates with a similar business model and value system,” says Mike Waite, president of Menasha Packaging Company. “The combined companies’ packaging offerings and fulfillment capabilities expand Menasha’s market-leading footprint and will improve our ability to provide Canadian customers with end-to-end merchandising solutions.”

Both Menasha and PearceWellwood serve retailers and consumer packaged goods customers in food, household, and personal care segments.
