Australian firm plans three-year expansion

Jac Australia Pty. Ltd., West Footscray, Australia, has announced it's planning an estimated $25-million capital expenditure and expansion program.

The program, projected over a three-year period, will see expansion across a number of strategic fronts within the organization.

"One reason for Jac's established success has been our ability to meet customers' needs by investing in the right people and technology," Herman Mort, GM/operations, said. "The expansion program will include a superior new coating line and converting system - an Australian first and one of the few installations of this type of equipment in the world.

"It will redefine levels of performance and efficiency and provide even greater controls within the process," he said. "By investing in the very latest technology, Jac is able to ensure customers receive a steady supply of reliable and cost-effective self-adhesive products which are acknowledged as the best in the world."

Jac's expansion program also includes enhancements to the company's computerized adhesive mixing process, an extension of its quality control and R&D capabilities.
