Heidelberg's Speedmaster SM 52-D Wins InterTech Award

Heidelberg USA's Speedmaster SM 52-D with inline die-cutting won PIA/GATF's InterTech Award for innovation, the only offset press in the industry to achieve this honor this year. The win marks the 21st InterTech Award for Heildelberg since the program began in 1978.

Daetwyler and Disti Kleen Work Together on Behalf of Renzmann

Max Daetwyler Corp. and Disti Kleen are working together to sell and service Renzmann, Monzingen, Germany, products to both printing and non-printing customers. Disti Kleen has been the exclusive representative for Renzmann equipment in the chemical industry in the U.S., Canada, and Central and South America since 1981. Daetwyler has been selling and servicing Renzmann products for the printing industry for over 20 years. Additionally, they are now responsible for service support and spare parts for the Disti Kleen customers.

FTA Seeks Applicants for Environmental Excellence Awards

The Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) is accepting applications for the 5th Annual Environmental Excellence Awards, a program that recognizes companies implementing innovative and sustainable environmental practices. Good News Hunting

As the show and conference circuit winds down for the year with only the Packaging Machinery Mfrs. Institute's Pack Expo (Nov. 7-11 at Chicago's McCormick Pl.) to go before the holidays hit, I've heard increasingly positive statements while good news hunting about the health of the converting industry. The caveat here is that it appears the description of good health applies to specific markets.
