Graph Expo returns to McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, October 26-29, having earned its best-ever ranking of 42 among the Tradeshow Week 200, an annual directory of US trade shows. The ranking, based on net square feet of exhibit space for the 2007 show, is up five points from the previous year.
The 2008 show, produced by Graphic Arts Show Co. (GASC), promises more than 600 exhibitors and an expanded focus on new market segments. Areas of particular interest to converters include digital printing, packaging, and RFID solutions.
According to Ralph Nappi, president of GASC, “Graph Expo is the marketplace for everything print, where show goers come each year to learn about the latest technologies, new business opportunities, and best practices that will enable them to grow their businesses.”
More than 70 educational sessions, as well as hands-on computer labs featuring the latest in software solutions, will provide attendees with real lessons that can be put to immediate use. Kicking off the seminar program is the 13th edition of the Executive Outlook Conference, “Where Technology Meets the Marketplace — Tomorrow's Trends in Technology — Today.” This conference is held October 25, the day before the show opens.
GASC also reports plans are underway for the debut of PackPrint, a package printing, folding carton, flexo, and label-focused tradeshow. Produced in partnership with the Flexographic Technical Assn., PackPrint will launch at the PRINT 09 show to be held Sept. 11-16, 2009, at McCormick Place.
More than 20,000 net sq ft of exhibit space already have been contracted, GASC reports, by companies such as Bobst, Brausse, Drent Goebel, Korber PaperLink, Carton Kraft, and Brandten & Kluge.
