Team Meets to Bring Revolution to Digital Flexo

CAMPI BISENZIO (FIRENZE), ITALY | Seven leading companies in the label and narrow web industry met this past December at the headquarters of Nuova Gidue for a meeting to establish the “REVO–Digital Flexo Revolution” project. The other companies included UPM Raflatac, Adare, Esko, Flint Group, DuPont, and Apex Group of Companies.

The goal of the REVO Project Team is to develop a completely new way for flexo to compete in the market, i.e., to provide an answer on behalf of the flexo industry to the increasing importance of digital print, especially in label and narrow web packaging. The Team’s emphasis is to develop a ready-to-go complete concept that will expand the possibilities for flexo converters and offer new ways to achieve high quality print, increased efficiency, higher productivity, and improved sustainability.

The final result is expected to lead to a Plug & Play concept for printers that will be launched during the GIDUE open house in May 2014.

A website will be launched soon that will offer more information.
