Singapore Show Helps Nilpeter Spread its Asian Influence

PRESS RELEASE

SLAGELSE, DENMARK— Nilpeter showcased its approach to narrow web label and packaging converting at Labelexpo Singapore, held in late November. The main attraction at the company's booth was live demonstrations of the recently-introduced FA-3300, shown with eight UV-flexo printing units, a freely-interchangeable "Drop-In" rotary screen unit, and a cold foil station for metallized effects. The company feels the show reinforced its presence in the Asian-Pacific market, with representatives from Nilpeter's head office in Bangkok, staff from the newly-opened China Ltd. subsidiary, and agents from the Southeast Asia and Asian-Pacific IPP network on hand.

"Although numbers were down on previous events, we had a good show and picked up a reasonable number of positive sales leads," said Nilpeter's sales director, Jakob Landberg. "Most of the visitors to our booth came from Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, but we also had many customers and leads from all over Southeast Asia, South Korea, China, Australia, and New Zealand."

At the show, the FA-3300 printed filmic labels with paper and film release liners for "no-label-look" health and beauty labels, as well as filmic IML labels for injection-molded plastic containers. The machine boasts maximum web widths of 330 mm and is reportedly suited to processing difficult p-s paper, filmic labelstocks, films, and foils.
