Brückner to Show In-Line Coating System

SIEGSDORF, GERMANY | Brückner Maschinenbau will exhibit at Plastimagen in Mexico City, March 8–11, 2016, presenting what it says is a variety of innovations for the efficient manufacture of innovative oriented plastics films.

Among the products on display will be a new coating system for the chemical treatment of plastic films in-line directly during production. Company says system has a compact size, easy access to all machine parts for maintenance, and a competitive price. Integrated into the software and control system of the line are said to be features aiding process control and data transparency. The coating system, based on reverse gravure kiss-coating technology with optionally corona treatment, is available for single- and double-side coating.

Brückner reports it continues to optimize the possibilities for energy savings, and at Plastimagen visitors will see an energy monitor for measuring and analyzing the energy consumption of the film production process based on the international standard ISO 50001. Company says this tool supports the operator to optimize the energy use of each product to achieve highest film quality on lowest energy input. The energy measurement at each feeder with field bus communication allows on-line access and recording of the current energy consumption and gives a clear overview of the working point of the stretching line and the carbon footprint situation.
