Fast-to-Shelf Pouch Program from EnVision & Coyote

PHOENIX, AZ | Pouch converter EnVision Flexible Packaging and contract manufacturing/packaging company Coyote Kitchen, also of Phoenix, have joined to offer the “FastTrak FlexiPak” program that allows consumer product manufacturers seeking the benefits of flexible pouch packaging to have the advantage of a quick turnaround to get their goods on store shelves. Additionally, trial runs for such packaging changes can now be minimized in terms of both time and money, the companies say.

The pouches produce a sparkling package said to capture attention in the marketplace while minimizing expenses of such package upgrades. They also offer environmental advantages of a pouch, such as using water-based inks with less than 5% VOCs compared with solvent-based inks containing 40%–65% VOCs.

Paired with EnVision’s industry knowledge of flexible packaging, Coyote’s products—private-label bottled sauces, salsa, and salad dressings—can now be available in pouches in four months or less. Additionally, Coyote is now equipped to step outside of its primary markets to contract manufacture and package additional products in pouches.

“The EnVision-Coyote relationship enables consumer product manufacturers to test the pouch market prior to making large capital investments,” says Liesl Harder Kielp, EnVision’s founder and president. “They can tweak their product and message at minimal cost.” She adds that the manufacturing of the pouches is done in the US, saving both time and money, and providing a valued input into the America’s economy.

Brent Cornelius, founder and CEO of Coyote Kitchen adds, “Our advantage is that we can give customers big-company results with small-company relationships. We pride ourselves in customers being offered custom solutions to their packing needs."
