Foundation of FTA Announces Theme, Logo for 2011 Annual Forum

RONKONKOMA, NY | The Foundation of Flexographic Technical Assn. (FFTA), a leading professional society dedicated to advancing the flexographic printing process, recently announced the official theme and logo for its 2011 Annual Forum.

“Forum 2011: Setting the Pace for Flexo Packaging Excellence” will be the fundamental premise of next year’s conference, which will be staged on May 1-4 at the new JW Marriott Hotel & Indiana Convention Ctr. in Indianapolis, IN. The pre-eminent event in the flexographic printing and converting trade, which earlier this year welcomed a record number of printers/converters and consumer product companies, will be chaired by industry veterans Mark Coffman, sales representative, Dixie Graphics, and Randy Butler, PCG marketing manager, Printpack, Inc.

The Forum 2011 agenda includes sessions on Emerging Trends & New Technologies, FIRST (Flexographic Image Reproduction Specifications & Tolerances), FQC (Flexo Quality Consortium), Inks & Substrates, Lean Manufacturing (a new addition to the lineup), and Prepress and Sustainability. FFTA is currently accepting abstracts pertaining to any of these seven sessions until Sept. 10, 2010. Abstracts can be submitted online at www.flexography.org/abstracts.cfm.
