WASHINGTON, DC | The second International Plastics Design Competition (IPDC) is now open for entries from any end market and any country in the world. The  competition will culminate at NPE2012, sponsored by SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Assn. and scheduled for April 1–5 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.

The contest is open to all innovative plastics products, including flexible packaging. Entries may be submitted online, and the deadline is Feb. 1, 2012. Find details on the IPDC website, where visitors are able to cast their votes for the People’s Choice award. All other awards will be based on the decisions of judges selected by SPI for their knowledge of plastics and design. Entries may be submitted in any of 18 end-use market categories.

An awards reception and ceremony will take place during NPE2012 on Tuesday evening, April 3, where winners and their supply chain contributors will be recognized and honored.
