Shorewood Packaging, New York, NY, reports two additions to its “green” packaging portfolio for CDs and DVDs. REPAK features a design for disc delivery with a recessed cavity that holds the disc in place securely without plastic hubs or trays. Flip-Pak's slide-out design eliminates the plastic hub and has a pop-up mechanism that presents the disc when the package is opened. Both options are made from third-party-certified, renewable virgin paperboard or recycled board, use renewable inks and coatings, and are completely renewable, recyclable, and sustainable. They also are said to offer ample billboard space for graphics and messages.
