PRESS RELEASE

SPARTANBURG, SC—During the last ten years the plastic and film industry has experience some of the advantages of winding rolls of goods up to 84 inches in diameter—15,000 yards in continuous length and weighing up to 20,000 pounds. This process saves numerous doff cycles at the initial winding and increases overall quality with less stoppage and restart. Once you have produced a large roll of goods there is less handling in transporting the finished product to the next process. Menzel's Roll Jack or Powered Truck simplifies moving the A-Frame to the next process.

The large roll of goods on the A-Frame allows the product to be converted with less starting and stopping, improving quality and overall production. Whether at the wind-up or the let-off, loss of material due to start/stop marks is decreased up to 2% when compared to winding small rolls.

Menzel will present a Multi-station at the NPE Show June 19-23, 2006 in Chicago, IL. See menzelus.com.
