GEW Wins Green Award

SURREY, UK | GEW (EC) Ltd. has been awarded the first Green Award for suppliers at the Label Industry Global Awards 2009, held during Labelexpo Europe, for its e-System UV ink curing equipment. The award honors companies taking collaborative action to reduce their impact on the environment before restrictive legislation is imposed. The e-System reduces running power by 30% and decreases CO2 emissions by 30% while extending lamp life.

  • Israel-based PowerID qualifies Datamax-O'Neil's H-Class RFID printers to print and encode two types of EPCglobal Class 1, Generation2-compliant BAP labels: the PowerG and PowerT. The H4212X and H6210 printers are the first UHF printers and encoders to support PowerID's battery-assisted, passive (BAP) labels.
