Holography Conference Addresses Critical Industry Issues
Security, standards and sustainability will be the focus of the forthcoming holography industry conference, which also plays host to the annual awards for the best in commercial holography.
This year’s Holography Conference, which is being held on line once again between November 21-22, 2023, will see presentations from a number of leading industry figures.
Highlights will see presentations examining the future of holograms on passports and other ID documents and an overview of hologram development and applications in the important China sector. Other presentations will consider holograms as security devices, latest industry trends and developments, production and sustainability as well as origination, innovation and new techniques and applications.
The long-standing collaboration between the Holography Conference and the industry trade body trade body International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA), which is marking its 30th anniversary in 2023, will continue with the annual Excellence in Holography Awards 2023 closing the conference.
Recognising outstanding achievement and those at the forefront of the sector, these are given for the best in holographic technology, origination, applications and security as well as holograms used in decorative and packaging products.
Dr Paul Dunn, IHMA chair, will look at the next steps for the Hologram Image Register (HIR), the secure registry of holographic images established by the IHMA to safeguard hologram copyright and underpin the use of holograms in authentication and security printing in his conference presentation.
He said: “This is an important industry conference addressing the critical issues facing holography, which continues to develop to remain relevant and push the boundaries of possibility in a wide range of global security and authentication applications.
“Sustainability is also an important theme at this year’s event and will continue to be a priority for holography in the next 12 months with manufacturers investing more and more in strategies to reduce carbon footprint as part of their corporate responsibility strategies.”
IHMA members can participate in the Holography Conference free of charge, as can representatives from government authorities and law enforcement agencies. For more information and to register, please visit https://holographyconference.com/
