Paperboard Packaging Council Announces Webinar on Accessibility and Innovation in Packaging Design
The Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC), known as North America's key source for rich, relevant, and timely information that impacts the paperboard packaging business and industry, will host an upcoming webinar on accessibility and innovation in packaging design. "Unboxing Inclusion: Elevating Accessibility in Packaging Design," presented by PPC member, Clearwater Paper, scheduled for September 6, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM EDT, will focus on the emerging field of accessibility in packaging design, featuring a presentation by Victoria Watts, founder of The CyR.U.S. System.
With accessibility becoming an increasingly important aspect of design across industries, the webinar seeks to highlight its significance in paperboard packaging. The event is particularly relevant to professionals in the paperboard packaging industry, but those interested in accessibility and inclusion will also be engaged with the content presented.
Victoria Watts started the cosmetic company VictoriaLand to solve her own personal skincare needs that weren't being met by the market. Still, those concerns quickly took a backseat when her son Cyrus was born with a rare hereditary disorder that affects the retina with symptoms that can include vision loss or blindness. Since then, Watts has made it her mission to offer the visually impaired the same ability to experience and enjoy beauty as her sighted friends.
By participating in the webinar, attendees will gain valuable insights into the strategies and considerations that drive inclusive packaging design, aligning with PPC's priority of championing accessibility in the paperboard packaging sector.
"We are thrilled to host this important webinar focused on elevating accessibility in packaging design," said Ben Markens, president of the Paperboard Packaging Council. "Victoria Watts' pioneering work at The CyR.U.S. System has introduced innovative solutions surrounding inclusive packaging, and we believe that her insights will inspire and guide packaging professionals in their pursuit of accessible design solutions."
The webinar promises an enlightening experience with a dynamic presentation by Watts, followed by a Q&A session that will allow attendees to interact with her directly to gain further clarity on the discussed topics.
