New Trade Fair for Corrugated Technology in Messe Dusseldorf Asia’s Portfolio
CorruTec ASIA, International Corrugated Technology Exhibition for Asia, will debut from September 22 - 25 at BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand. Jointly organized by Messe Düsseldorf Asia (MDA) and the Thai Corrugated Packaging Association (TCPA), the event will be a dedicated exhibition for manufacturers and suppliers of machinery, accessories, technology and services from the corrugated and folding carton industries.
CorruTec ASIA 2021 will provide an ideal sourcing platform for industry experts from corrugated sheet and box manufacturers, folding carton converters and rigid carton manufacturers to vertical markets such as packaging designers and product managers from the food, cosmetics, luxury goods, medicine and automotive sectors. Held concurrently with the well-established PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL, the two trade fairs will represent the entire value chain for the packaging, printing and corrugated industries.
With global online sales expected to hit $5.5 trillion in 2023, this will create a significant impact on packaging demand, particularly in the corrugated industry which represents 80% of demand in e-commerce[1]. Coupled with the increasingly complex logistics chain for direct to consumer delivery – e-commerce, packages are expected to be handled up to 20 times or more during standard distribution, thus generating a new demand for cost-effective secondary corrugated board packaging. Thailand’s folding carton and corrugated packaging market is expected to register a CAGR of 8.42 percent by 2025, driven by the innovative paper-based packaging developments in the country[2] and advances in digital printing technologies, making Thailand an ideal location to launch CorruTec ASIA.

With the packaging and printing sectors among the 13 industries expected to expand in a post pandemic era according to the Federation of Thai Industries[3], the co-location of CorruTec ASIA with PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL (PPI), was also well-received by The Thai Packaging Association and The Thai Printing Association – both co-organizers of PPI together with Messe Düsseldorf Asia. According to Manit Kamolsuwan, President of The Thai Packaging Association “the co-location of the two trade shows is key to expand packing and printing’s symbiotic connection.
