OERLINGHAUSEN, GERMANY | To optimize setup times in foil stamping, Gundluch Verpackung has invested in a Die Co-Ordinator DC 1060 digital positioning system from Insight Graphic Systems, distributed in Europe by Gietz AG. The system is said to scan and register the position and shape of the stamping/embossing images with the highest precision. Heat expansion of carrier plates and stamping dies is compensated. Sheet distortion is detected and stored in the system according to each specific sheet.
