Alpha Packaging Acquired by PPS

LOUISVILLE, KY | Protective Packaging Solutions (PPS) announces the acquisition of assets of Alpha Packaging of Cincinnati, OH, during a recent auction.

PPS retains key staff members: Dave Rettig becomes general manager; Cindy Garrett continues as operations manager; and Rich Hacker remains manager of design.

• Asahi Photoproducts, Atlanta, GA, partners with Correct Touch Graphic Arts, San Luis Obispo, CA, All Printing Resources, Glendale Hts., IL, and RBCOR, San Marcos, CA, to distribute Asahi's water washable photopolymer plates in the US.

• FLEXcon, Spencer, MA, reports a newly approved registered trademark name for its solar panel backsheet protective laminate products — FLEXcon multiGUARD. The trademark is registered in the US and Europe.

• DuPont Packaging Graphics, Wilmington, DE, begins production of Cyrel round sleeves at its Towanda, PA, facility for both solvent and thermal processes.

• Henkel, Düsseldorf, Germany, is recognized as sector leader in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index in the Nondurable Household Products category.

• Bobst Group, Business Unit Web Fed, Roseland, NJ, enters into partnership with Line-Text Intl., Chula Vista, CA, to represent the Fischer & Krecke, Rotomec, and Atlas/Titan lines in the Western US.

• Winkler+Dünnebier AG, Neuwied, Germany, acquires the business operations of Buhrs ITM GmbH based in Löhne, Germany.
