Discover all IMS TECHNOLOGIES solutions and services at Hall 10 booth 10K21.

GOEBEL IMS, a brand of IMS TECHNOLOGIES, will exhibit at CHINAPLAS 2023, the world’s leading plastics and rubber trade fair, from April 17-20, in Shenzhen, China.

Thanks to its 170-year expertise in slitting and rewinding, GOEBEL IMS is leader in designing and manufacturing solutions to convert the widest range of materials. As a matter of fact, the brand is well known worldwide for its slitter rewinders, automatic un- and winders and inspection machines for the primary and converting industries, able to process film, paper and board, aseptic packaging, alufoil and nonwoven.

GOEBEL IMS machines are able to cover the needs of the film industry, and this not only for packaging films, also more and more technical films, such as capacitor films, battery separator films or optical films, are converted on GOEBEL IMS slitting and rewinding machines. As a matter of fact, they are suitable to convert BOPP, BOPE, BOPET and BOPA as well as plain films, metallized films, and other coated films.

GOEBEL IMS latest innovation for the plastic film market is eSERIES – a new comprehensive primary portfolio of slitting and rewinding solutions working fully electric, combining high performance and top quality with groundbreaking technology and a brand new innovative design.

Four new machines fall into eSERIES:

  1. eMONOSLIT and eMONOSLIT GIANT superlative slitter rewinders, ideal for working all kinds of packaging and technical films, like BOPP, BOPE, BOPET and BOPA, with a working width between 7500 mm and 12000 mm at speeds of up to 1500 m/min.
  2. eINTERSLIT slitter rewinder, ensuring exceptional efficiency and productivity when converting an array of materials, such as packaging films, capacitor films, metallized films, flexible packaging and many others, with a working width between 4500 mm and 7500 mm at speeds of up to 1250 m/min.
  3. eXTRASLIT slitter rewinder, perfect for the conversion of sensitive films and other substrates for the packaging industry material, with a working width of up to 3800 mm at speeds of 1200 m/min and allowing narrow cuts from 270 mm.

eSERIES comes with a full range of benefits. The first one is energy saving – eSERIES machines allow to save up to 25 percent of energy. Moreover, they are fully electric and do not require any hydraulic system, which entails easier maintenance, smaller footprint and reduced noise emissions. To conclude, eSERIES machines boast a new design and can be equipped with MAIA Industrial IoT platform.

Alongside discovering GOEBEL IMS machines, during Chinaplas it will be possible to learn more about IMS TECHNOLOGIES industrial IoT platform for Industry 4.0, known as MAIA. Such platform allows optimized operations, facilitated maintenance and enhanced productivity through the use of advanced analytics and Artificial Intelligence.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to know IMS TECHNOLOGIES comprehensive after-sales services, including field or virtual assistance, preventive maintenance, retrofit or upgrade programs and other services. IMS TECHNOLOGIES engineers are always available to provide local support in order to handle all installation, commissioning and maintenance.
