Leadership Assets and Folding Carton Opportunities to be Highlighted at PPC Spring Conference in Florida
Trust is the fastest way to expand influence and positively impact business results, says Spring Meeting keynote speaker David Horsager, CEO of the Trust Edge Leadership Institute and bestselling author.
This April, folding carton executives will gain valuable knowledge about important leadership assets and future market opportunities at the 2020 Spring Outlook and Strategies Conference hosted by the Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC). Taking the stage at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, April 22-24, will be renowned speakers who will discuss the importance of trust in business leadership, recent leading economic indicators, and implications of the recent single-use plastic directive in Europe.
“We’ve gathered together an A-list agenda to help our executives elevate their management style and stay on the forefront of new markets,” said Ben Markens, PPC president. “After a full day of informative sessions and networking with fellow boxmakers, we invite everyone to enjoy a magical visit to Disney World to see the fantastic new Epcot Illuminations show called Epcot Forever. Attendees will also discover new entrees at a special food truck extravaganza on the hotel property.”
Trust is the fastest way to expand influence and positively impact business results, says keynote speaker David Horsager, CEO of the Trust Edge Leadership Institute and bestselling author. Through his industry-leading research, The Trust Outlook™ and firsthand experience working with the world’s highest performing organizations, Horsager will show PPC attendees how to build trust for a stronger bottom line and a more committed team. Trust separates high performance organizations from their competitors. Horsager will show the PPC audience how to increase engagement and earn the trust of those they lead.
For those seeking a promising opportunity to stay ahead of their competition, a distinguished panel featuring paperboard packaging executives from both Europe and the U.S. will discuss the upcoming need for sustainable, recyclable folding cartons. Due to a new European ban on single use plastic, which goes into effect throughout the continent in 2021, the panel will debate if or when the law might take effect here in the U.S. and how PPC members can be ready to move into this lucrative market.
Speaking of trends, PPC favorite Alan Beaulieu, a leading economist, will return to the spring conference and update attendees on the latest economic indicators and how they will affect the paperboard packaging market.
Rounding out the rest of the conference will be a member spotlight on Autajon Packaging and an update on the success of the Paper and Packaging Board’s national marketing campaign. Autajon is a manufacturer of folding cartons, labels, set-up boxes and POS, for various market sectors such as perfumes and cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, wine and spirits as well as confectionery and food specialties. The Paper & Packaging – How Life Unfolds® national marketing campaign shows how paper and packaging enhance business and personal productivity, creativity and learning, and help protect and deliver the goods consumers want.
“We look forward to welcoming our members to sunny Florida where they’ll network with our executive ranks, gather new ideas to strengthen and grow their business, and enjoy the magic of Disney,” said Markens. “This biannual conference will draw our elite members who represent about 80% of the $10 billion industry in the United States. They’ll be sure to gain valuable insight into the latest converting solutions, gather advice from our expert speakers, and enjoy the opportunity to network and grow with a welcoming community of industry peers.”
