GOEBEL IMS Presents its Innovative Slitting and Winding Solutions at ICE USA

GOEBEL IMS is showcasing its entire range of highly-advanced, innovative slitting and winding solutions from April 9th to 11th, 2019, booth #739 at ICE USA.

The slitter rewinders T 2 and the similar AP 22 offer maximum productivity and high-quality processing of specialty and standard papers as well as aseptic packaging materials. The basic model of the T 2 features top winding quality at working widths of up to 2,200 mm and a rewind diameter of up to 1,800 mm. The T 2 allows conversion speeds of up to 1,200 m/min. All machines of this series work with a single-shaft center-driven winding concept equipped with an idle lay-on roller. They can be used as bi- directional inspection rewinders for repairing telescoped or damaged rolls as well as detecting defections. A fully automatic version is available with a variety of additional features.

For film applications, GOEBEL IMS has developed a slitter rewinder that fulfills the special film industry’s latest demands for productivity and precision. The primary slitter INTERSLIT is suitable for converting packaging and special films such as capacitor films, battery separator films or thick films for industrial or optical applications. Available either as a basic machine or with advanced technical functions and automation technology, the new primary slitter processes widths between 4,000 mm and 7,000 mm.

Another highlight presented at this year’s ICE USA is GOEBEL IMS’ bestselling slitter rewinder for paper RAPID D1. It offers flexibility, both with materials and slitting widths, highest productivity and availability as well as excellent slitting and roll quality – especially for narrow finished rolls. In its newest edition, the successful model is equipped with a contact roller on load cells and with a closed loop control. This guarantees a highly sensitive contact pressure control between contact roller and finished roll sets when converting delicate materials and thus superior quality of the finished rolls.

Last but not least, printers and converters can discover a slitter rewinder for flexible packaging film at ICE USA. The strategic partner of GOEBEL IMS, Laem System, exhibits the RB Series. The dual- shaft slitter rewinders have a high degree of flexibility for converting large mother rolls (50” OD) into finished rolls of different widths and diameters. The machines can process a variety of films (bi- oriented, barrier blown films, cast films) and laminates (aluminum foils and/ or paper) used in the flexible packaging industry as well as paper or self-adhesive substrates used in the label converting industry.
