Web Industries Named 3M Preferred Converter
- Published: March 18, 2015
MARLBOROUGH, MA | Web Industries, a provider of contract converting and manufacturing services in the Medical Device, Advanced Composites, Consumer Products, and Wire & Cable markets, has been named a 3M Medical Specialties Preferred Converter by 3M’s Medical Specialties business unit. This new status will allow companies to streamline their supply chains by using Web as their single point of contact for 3M materials, intermediate converting services, and contract manufacturing, and assembly solutions. By providing a one-stop shop for all of these services, Web reports it can eliminate redundant transportation costs and reduce project management administrative overhead while improving manufacturing efficiencies.
“Using a single company like Web for component material sourcing, high-value precision converting, and contract manufacturing can reduce medical device companies’ costs significantly,” says Mark Pihl, chief operations officer for Web Industries. “We’re honored to receive this recognition from 3M. It validates all of the hard work and reinvestment in our employee-owners, manufacturing equipment, and processes we’ve created to better meet the needs of the medical device market.”
Calling itself a true silent partner in the medical market, Web does not offer self-branded medical devices or tests, and its CMO facilities hold all required ISO (13485, 14001, 9001:2008) and industry certifications, including FDA-registration.
