PRESS RELEASE

RONKONKOMA, NY—Flexographic Technical Assn. (FTA) will sponsor two sessions at TAPPI’s PLACE Conference September 25-28, 2005, in Las Vegas, NV. Surface Treating for Flexography and Substrate Effect on High-Quality Graphics will be moderated by FTA’s technical director Rick Mix.

Treating: Ins & Outs will analyze treating methods (corona, flame and plasma)—used to improve the adhesion of ink on film, foil, and even paper—to determine which process works best on each substrate. Substrates & Their Effects will address the most common negative attributes of substrates and the specific effect they have on achieving high-quality flexographic printing.

TAPPI’s PLACE Conference, held in conjunction with the Pack Expo Las Vegas exhibits,will showcase innovations in materials, equipment, and process control in the flexible packaging and converting industry. See flexography.org.
