ROCHESTER, NY—Kodak's Matchprint Inkjet Desktop, 400 and 800 Proofing Solutions earned SWOP (Specifications for Web Offset Publications) Certification just three months after being launched at Print 05. To achieve the SWOP Certification Mark, manufacturers submit a SWOP Application Data Sheet (ADS) and representative proofs for review. The ADS provides directions for producing proofs as closely as possible to the SWOP Certified Press Sheet. A system earns ‘SWOP Certified’ designation through its ability to produce proofs that closely match the appearance of the SWOP Certified Press Sheet.
