Mark Andy & Rotoflex Show Off at UK Open House

 

ST. LOUIS, MO | Narrow web press manufacturer Mark Andy will be hosting an Open House April 23–26 at its UK showroom and demonstration facility in Macclesfield. The one-day program, which will repeat over the four-day event, will showcase some of the company’s latest technologies.

On working display will be two of the company’s Performance Series machines. A P5 eight-color, 430-mm UV flexo press will be fitted with company’s new QCDC (Quick Change Die Cut) system said to be easy and ergonomic to use.

Also on live display will be a six-color, 330-mm Performance Series P3 press. Fitted with the company’s new ProLED UV curing system, a joint development between Mark Andy and Flint Group using Phoseon technology. Said to be energy-efficient and virtually maintenance-free, system uses medium-wavelength rays to avoid ozone and heat generation. Designed for new installations or retrofits, it reportedly offers deeper and faster curing and allows water-based presses to extend their capability with combi drying/curing.

A short-run digital workflow, featuring an SRL 4.0 digital printer alongside its short-run converting system, the SRC, has a web width range to 320 mm and a speed of nine mpm.

Rotoflex will showcase two of its finishing solutions: the new VLI and the VSI inspection, slitting, inspection, and rewind systems. The VLI, said to have expanded capabilities for more advanced applications and high-speed production, is called ideal for film, film packaging, and other tension-sensitive materials. The VSI is a high-speed machine with the latest integrated web transport that includes eDrive, web inspection, and finishing technology designed to improve machine performance and enhance product quality. Company says a key feature of all VSI machines of good operator ergonomics.
