China Paper Holdings (CPH), a sourcing paper company and a sub. of Global Sourcing Solutions, says protectionist policies stifle innovation and competition to the global economy.

CPH recently applauded the ruling from the US Intl. Trade Commission (ITC) to lift duties on coated free paper. The ITC found the US industry was neither materially injured nor threatened by imports of coated free sheet paper from Asia.

The US imports nearly $300 billion of merchandise from China each year, with continued growth expected.
