MONTREAL, QC, CANADA | Ernst & Young Orenda Corporate Finance has issued its quarterly packaging recap for Q2 2010, noting that a key focus has been the impact the industry has on the environment. “In the packaging industry, both established packaging players and startup competitors continue to vie to be recognized as environmentally conscious industry leaders, and the range of available ‘green’ packaging products continues to grow.”
The study says efforts continue to be made to develop innovative packaging designs and material use to create more sustainable, reusable, and environmentally friendly packaging alternatives. Environmental innovation is expected to become an even more important competitive differentiator for packaging suppliers as governments at all levels implement environmental regulations.
