Coating & Drying and Adhesion Technology Seminars

PRESS RELEASE

WALTHAM, MA—The 19th Coating and Drying Technology seminar will take place May 7-10, 2007, immediately followed by the 16th Adhesion Technology seminar, May 10-11, both held in the Best Western TLC Hotel in Waltham, MA. The Coating and Drying Technology seminar is designed for engineers and scientists working with the coating of fluids onto continuous webs and who wish to become familiar with all aspects of coating and drying. It is especially useful for those new to the field. The Adhesion Technology seminar is designed for engineers and polymer chemists involved with practical adhesive bonding to plastics, metals, and other substrates.

The Coating and Drying Technology seminar will cover fluid preparation and handling, coating methods, process scale-up and process control, surface forces in coating, coating die design for uniform flow, static electricity, dryers and drying, web handling and machine drives, and coating and drying effects. The Adhesion Technology seminar will cover theories of adhesion, surface treatments of plastics and metals, structural adhesive bonding, and permanence of adhesive joints.
