GAA Calls for Entries for Annual Golden Cylinder Competition for Gravure Printers

ROCHESTER, NY, USA—Gravure Association of America (GAA) members (and even those of you non-members) only have until mid-February to submit your greastest gravure for 2001. "[We] conduct the Annual Golden Cylinder award competition to promote the gravure process and to provide peer recognition for technical achievements," says GAA. "The competition is designed to identify the 'Best of the Best' in each segment of the industry [as well as] to distinguish technical innovations." This year, reports GAA, the competition also is open to non-members.

According to GAA, all entries must have been produced in the 2001 calendar year and with the gravure process. Entries must be production units against an order, with the exception of those entries submitted for the supplier innovation category. Entries in this category must include complete a description and supporting evidence of the technical innovation (including a factual support statement from one or more customers or users).

GAA says all completed entries must be submitted to:

GAA Headquarters
Suite 1200-A
Scottsville Rd.
Rochester, NY
14624

Entries must be received by 5:00 pm, Friday, February 15, 2002. Judging will take place on February 28, and winners will announced at the 2002 GAA annual award ceremony dinner, to be held during the association's annual convention (on May 21), Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
